Awareness breast cancer program www.nedelsk.lt ("Do not delay"), initiated by Mrs. Agnė Zuokienė, wife of former mayor of Vilnius in 2003, lead to the significanty lower number of deaths today. Travelling on the Pink Bus to the most remote locations in Lithuania the team of doctors already visited as many as 445 places, examining 43,567 women for breast cancer with the help of special equipment. Every fifth woman was diagnosed with benign breast tumours and 473 were found to have breast cancer. Unfortunately, majority of these women had not had a breast examination before.

I admire people, who take care of those who cannot care of themselves, who have dreams and work their dreams to come true, and who solve problems which may impact any of us. I think it‘s my task to ensure these people to not care about money.
I also admire people who donate. Whether it is their time, money, labour, ideas or expertise. I think it is my task to direct their efforts and goodwill to those who need that the most.
Dear LithuaniaWorld visitors,
I kindly invite you to donate to our promoted public campaigns and to inform us about interesting fundraising activities.
